October 16th, National Bosses Day, is a day completely dedicated to all employers. The concept was developed by Patricia Bays Haroski in 1958 and officiated in 1962. She had hoped it would give employees an opportunity to show their appreciation to their bosses and supervisors for all the hard work they do that often times goes unnoticed. Additionally, this day allows opportunity to improve the liaison between employers and their staff, recognize those in supervisory and management positions, and show gratitude towards those who support staff with their careers.
