Perfect Pairing: B. toffee + Justin Vineyards


OC Wine Mart hosts luxury wine tasting event | Friday, June 7th

We're excited to announce that B. toffee and the OC Wine Mart in Irvine are teaming up to bring you a luxury toffee and wine tasting experience featuring wines from Justin Vineyards in Paso RoblesOn Friday, June 7th, guests are invited to explore the flavor profiles of handcrafted toffee and artisanal cheese, with fine California wines, in two tasting sessions, at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., each $25 (plus tax), at the OC Wine Mart (2272 Michelson Drive, Irvine).

The wines of Justin Vineyards will highlight and complement the luxurious ingredients of B. toffee. Guests will embark on a tasting journey as they experience select varietals from the Paso winery. The featured pairing will involve B. toffee with Justin’s Obtuse, an estate-grown, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon dessert wine crafted in the style of traditional Port. The sweet, full-bodied berry jam flavors that predominate on entry will highlight B. toffee’s premium chocolates, while the coffee, chocolate, and mild sweet tobacco accents on the mid-palate will play up B. toffee’s buttery caramel flavors.Reservations for either session can be made through OC Wine Mart by emailing Owner Julie Lim at julie@ocwinemartshop.com or (714) 785-5451.We are so thrilled to have OC Wine Mart host this event with B. toffee alongside a winery that can truly complement the flavors of our toffee! Cinnamon Crunch B. Dip


Ingredients
  • 8 oz low fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/3 cup B. bits
Order B. bits here.
Instructions
  1. Beat the softened cream cheese, brown sugar, vanilla, and spices together with an electric mixer. Scrape down the sides as needed. Add B. bits. Sprinkle with additional B. bits if desired. Serve chilled.
  2. Serve with sliced apples.

Here's what you'll need:

B. Sauce
2 sticks butter
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup brown sugar

Cook ingredients over high heat until melted, then simmer for 15-20 minutes.

B. toffee Cake Pops with a Twist!


Ingredients
  • Chocolate Cake Mix
  • Chocolate Frosting 
  • 2 boxes Callebaut White Chocolate
  • cake pop sticks
  • 2 oz B. bits
Instructions
  1. Follow cake mix instructions, bake.
  2. Add finished cake to a large bowl & add B. bits.
  3. Crumble cake into fine crumbs.
  4. Using your hands, add in frosting until cake is moist & mashable.
  5. Use a mini ice cream scoop and scoop out two balls of cake mixture.
  6. Roll mixture into "eggs"
  7. Repeat until all the cake mixture has been rolled into egg shaped balls.
  8. Melt 2-4 ounces of white chocolate in the microwave.
  9. Dip the tip of the cake pop sticks into the white chocolate and insert into the cake balls about half-way.
  10. Freeze for about 20 minutes.
  11. Meanwhile prepare all of your decorating supplies.
  12. Melt the remaining chocolate in a large cup. Make sure you have enough chocolate to completely submerge the cake ball.
  13. Remove cake balls from freezer.
  14. Dip cake balls carefully into the chocolate until covered.
  15. Let the excess chocolate drip off. Swirl and tap gently if needed.
  16. Add decorations while chocolate is still wet.
  17. Stick the decorated cake pop into a styrofoam block to finish setting.
  18. Place into the freezer to speed up setting time.
  19. Cover with a clear treat bag & ribbon for gift giving, if desired.
  20. Indulge!
